NBN Co has linked up with Oracle to source its IT infrastructure solutions, with the implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite for its business and commercial systems and Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management providing the billing platform.

Some of the other Oracle solutions implemented by NBN Co include, Oracle CRM on Demand, Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle Identity Management 11g and the Primavera Enterprise Project Portfolio Management.

NBN Co invested in the Oracle platform in March 2010 and CIO Claire Rawlins said that Oracle is a key part of NBN Co’s business strategy.

“As a low cost wholesale network service provider needing to stand up a complete set of integrated applications, we have been highly reliant on the broad suites of products available from Oracle to help achieve our goals,” Ms Rawlins said.

She was recently honored as CIO of the Year at Oracle OpenWorld San Francisco 2011.
