AIA Australia deploys Axelerator
AIA Australia has deployed the Axe Group’s Axelerator software in a bid to digitise the insurance claim process.
The system is a first within Australia and is being trailed on two of AIA Australia’s clients: REST and GESB, who mainly handle claims relating to the retail and public service sectors.
The software will now allow AIA Australia business partners to lodge life insurance claims online and then upload supporting documentation for consideration.
Typically, a fund administrator would have to manually gather and lodge all the information and evidence required for a claim; a process that could take anywhere between a couple of days to a few weeks.
The Axe Group said in a statement that the Axelerator software is expected to speed up this process as it cuts out the need for a fund administrator and allows clients to interact directly with AIA Australia.
“Claims automation is a crucial area in insurance, as the experience a claimant has with an insurer is often a defining moment,” said Axe Group CEO, Kimberley Lathe.
“Using our Axelerator Insurance Platform to automate their claims process will allow AIA Australia to deliver superior services and give them the flexibility to easily and quickly provide their group clients with more services over time.”
